How long does it take to get my rugs back?
The cleaning turnaround can vary throughout the year, but our process generally takes 2-3 weeks depending on factors such as our work backload, the condition of your rugs, and whether there are any stains or other issues that might add to the cleaning time. We always give our best estimate for how long we expect the work to take when an order comes in, and we are happy to accommodate rush orders as long as the time frame is possible.
Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Yes, within our regular service area, we offer pickup and delivery services every week. If you live outside of our service area we can still accommodate pickup and delivery services for an additional fee.
Are the rug cleaning products safe for my kids and pets?
Absolutely! Keeping your rugs clean is the healthiest thing for everyone in your home, and it is very important to us that your rugs are returned to you free of any residues from the cleaning process.
My rug has mildew, can it be salvaged?
The answer to this depends on the condition of the rug, how bad the mildew growth is, and how damaged the foundation of the rug is. Mildew can be cleaned and remediated, and often the staining can be greatly improved, but mildew can rot the foundation of the rug, making it brittle and allowing it to tear or crumble. There are possible repairs that could be made, but ultimately every rug needs to be assessed before any service is provided so that we can give you the best options on how to proceed.
Is there anything that can be done about carpet moths and beetles?
Carpet beetles, and especially carpet moths, have unfortunately become a common issue. We have proven and safe methods to remove the moths, clean the rugs, and apply a safe, non-toxic, moth-repellent.
Do you offer long-term rug storage?
Unfortunately, we do not have the space to offer long-term storage for our customers’ rugs, but we can wrap them for long-term storage to keep them clean and help protect them from moths.
Can you tell me about your cleaning process?
Absolutely! When your rugs come to our facility, whether you drop them off yourself or we pick them up from your home or office, we start by measuring the rugs and noting their condition. We use this information to formulate how we will best clean your rug, taking into account its preexisting conditions and needs. Next, your rug is dusted to remove as much dry soil as possible, this can be done in multiple ways, taking into account the structure of the rug as well as how much impacted soil is embedded in the foundation.
How often should I get my rugs professionally cleaned?
It depends on how often your rugs are being used. For rugs that are in heavy-traffic areas of your home (kitchen, mud room, hallway), we recommend a cleaning every six months to two years. For moderately used rugs (living room or dining room) we recommend a cleaning every 2-5 years, and for rarely-used rugs (guest rooms) we recommend a cleaning every 5-6 years.
Can only older rugs be cleaned or can you clean modern rugs?
We can clean anything! Machine-made, handmade, modern, or heirloom – we’ll take care of it.
